Dalbeattie Golf Club

Dalbeattie Golf Club

The scenery at Dalbeattie Golf Club is the star of this challenging 9 hole parkland town golf course. Dalbeattie’s well maintained course offers a few gentle slopes and rewards with panoramic views along the Urr valley, north to Cairnsmore of Fleet and south to Kippford and the Lake District hills.

Established in 1894 Dalbeattie Golf Club is one of the oldest in Dumfries & Galloway, laid out on former farmland to the north of the town near Rounall Wood, a community woodland that’s teeming with wildlife including red squirrels, deer and woodland songbirds.

During weekdays the golf course tends to be fairly quiet, however weekend tee times should be booked in advance. Motorised buggies are available for hire.

Course Highlight

The par 4 fourth needs a straight and accurate drive to the corner of the course before a right angle dogleg. With out of bounds to the left, restrictions to the right and a smallish green, you’ll breathe a sigh of relief if you escape with par.

Perfect Partners

Pair it up with other local 9 hole golf courses, such as Castle Douglas, or partner with nearby Colvend for an enjoyable 27 hole golfing day.
